Sunflour Cafe, Sleepy Hollow, NY

Today I enjoyed a girls' day with some of the ladies in my family and we lunched at the former Lighthouse Coffeehouse in Sleepy Hollow, which is now the Sunflour Cafe. In addition to great coffee, tea and hot chocolate (in humongo mugs), they have breakfast and lunch as well as sweet treats. We noshed on variety of their paninis — three-cheese grilled cheese (yum!) and two different vegetarian kinds. Not much has changed in the way of atmosphere, but the food was great. It's more than a coffee shop now — it's truly a lunch place. Also, it's an eco-friendly cafe (trendy!) with the mostly organic food coming from local sources. The owner is local as well — she grew up in Pocantico Hills and went to Briarcliff High School. So if you're in the area, pop in for a sandwich, muffin or cup o' Joe... and use their free wi-fi. I'm sure they can use your business
